Borden Bruins Track and Field 2018
Saskatchewan Athletics Clinics for middle years (grades 6 – 8) and high school (grade 9 – 12) are designed for athletes to gain knowledge and skill in specific event areas. Saskatchewan Athletics clinicians’ are experienced in teaching and demonstrating the necessary skills in the event areas of sprints and hurdles, jumps (long, high and triple) and throws (shot put, discus and javelin). Three clinicians will be coming to Borden School for all athletes in grades 6 -12 that are competing at Griffith Stadium in the Conference Meet on May 17th.
Due to the prolonged snow and cold weather, the track season is very short this year and it will be necessary to attend all practices.
Track Clinic and Practices: All those that plan to compete at the Conference and District Track Meets must attend.
Clinic – Monday, May 7th from 3 pm until 6:15 pm.
Athletes should try three different sessions during the clinic.

All competitors must attend all practices. Please speak with Mrs. Sutherland prior to the practice if you cannot attend due to a conflict.

Borden Bruins 2018
Believe or not, Spring has officially arrived… and with the arrival of the Spring Season, also comes the Borden Bruins Track Season!
As in the past, there will be 2 Track Clinics this season at Borden School:
Monday, April 9th from 3 – 6 pm and
Monday, May 7th from 3 – 6 pm
If any students in grades 6 – 12 want to participate in the Conference Track Meet on May 17th, they must attend both clinics.
The clinics will have instructors specialized in sprints (100 M, 200 M and 400 M), jumps (Long jump, Triple jump and High jump) and throws (Shot put, Discus and Javelin). There are also mid-distance and distance runs of 800 M, 1500 M and 3000 M as well as hurdle and pole vault events at the meets.
Come prepared to practice and improve your techniques in your chosen events. All athletes must enter at least 2 events.

Conference Meet @ Griffiths Stadium – May 17th
District Meet @ Griffiths Stadium – May 25th
Provincial Meet in Prince Albert (grades 9 -12 that qualify) – June 1st and 2nd
