WHAT’S HAPPENING IN BORDEN & DISTRICT – SEPTEMBER, 2018

Sundays –Riverbend Fellowship @ Seniors Room – 10 am Bible study, services @ 10:50 a.m. ;  Anglican Church  at 10:30 a.m.  – Rev Sheldon Carr; United Church –  Services at 1:30 p.m.

Mondays   & Wednesdays –  In Motion Exercises : Senior’s Room 10 a.m. Mondays – Dance club lessons – BCC 3:30 -9 p.m.

Tuesdays– Care Home Church @ 3 p.m.,  Lawyer@ Library 1st & 3rd Tuesday – call 306-242-1202; Karate – BCC

28 – Farmers’ Market Appreciation Day – free goodies and beverages, lunch booth open as usual

29 – Threshing Day – gates open at 10 am, parade at Noon, cook car, threshing, horse drawn plowing, discing, etc., potato digging, music, Museum open 2 – 6 p.m., roast beef supper at BCC-tickets on sale by 4:00 p.m. at east  door, supper @ 4:30 p.m.- Adults – $15, 10 yrs & under – $5,  Preschool free

OCTOBER

02 – Care Home Service – United – 3 p.m.

05 – Last day for Farmers’ Market in the Fire Hall- 11 am – 4 pm Thanks to everyone who supported the Market and see you at the Christmas Sale in the Community Centre on Saturday, December 1st – 11 am – 4 p.m. Lunch by Grad 2019

07 – World Day of Communion at churches & Thanksgiving Services

09 – Kaiser Tournament – Senior’s Room – 7 p.m.
