Week 12 –

Hello all,

Wow, what a wild couple of weeks here in the music education world!

Last week I greatly enjoyed an opportunity to meet with Arts Education consultants from around the province and over the past 72 hours since that meeting my e-mail has already been buzzing with various shared resources which as always I will pass on to you all!

I also had the pleasure of attending the annual Saskatchewan Music Conference here in Saskatoon this past weekend.  There were many great sessions including 2 sessions by our very own uke guru, Alvin Kolach.  He had nearly 60 teachers participate in his sessions, WOW!!  I also got to spend some time with two fantastic professional drummers all the way from Nashville, Tennessee and I plan on sharing some things I gained from them at my next upcoming PSSD PD session for elementary music.  In the mean time check out their work on the following website; you don’t have to be a band teacher to use some of this material in your music classes!
