Scholarships 1. Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall Scholarship (Grade 11) Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Scholarship (Grade 12)

Application Deadline: March 15, 2019

Every year, the Government of Saskatchewan provides up to $16,000 in scholarships, through The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall Scholarship and The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Scholarship, to ease the financial burden some students face. Every high school in Saskatchewan is invited to nominate one student for each scholarship.

The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall Scholarship assists Grade 11 students living with vulnerable circumstances to complete their secondary education. Up to 20 scholarships of $500 are awarded each year.

2. 2019 Application for the Annual Mark MacLeod Memorial Bonspiel Scholarship

Is a scholarship for students in grade 12 who are active curlers and will be post secondary students.

Application Deadline: February 28, 2019 Applicants will be notified by April 30, 2019

1. 2019 Verna J. Kirkness Science & Engineering Education Program

The Kirkness Program provides the opportunity for grade 11 students to spend one week in a research laboratory (science or engineering) and experience what it would be like to attend University.

WHO CAN APPLY? Grade 11 First Nations, Métis or Inuit students with an interest in science, math or engineering

Applications will be accepted through February 15, 2019

2. Saskatchewan Youth Apprenticeship Industry Scholarships valued at $1,000 each, will be awarded to graduating students nominated by selected provincial high schools each June.

4. Work Safe Saskatchewan Starting a job is a big event in a teenager’s life. Most young people want to get a job and earn money. However, they are inexperienced and often afraid to ask questions. Talk to your students about their rights and responsibilities on the job.
