Second Grade builds on important foundational skills from First Grade. Practicing reading is huge part of Second Grade. We will be reinforcing phonics skills, learning new sight words and working towards becoming fluent readers. I am excited to watch your child grow and learn. We will be be practicing our reading in class on a daily basis, but any support you can provide at home will help build your child’s confidence.
