End of Semester 1!
Congratulations everyone, we’ve made it to the end of the first semester which means this school year is already halfway done! Q2 report cards will be going out next week for students in grades 7-12.
When second semester starts on Thursday I will be teaching grade 4/5 math, which means I get to be with them all afternoon! I’m really looking forward to this opportunity. Unfortunately that means that I won’t be teaching ELA 9/10 anymore, as they will be spending second semester with Mrs. Moen.
I hope you are all enjoying your day off for semester turn-around!
Basketball unit test
Basketball unit test for phys ed 20/30 will be on Tuesday, December 5th. Students have received handouts that they can use to study.
New unit in phys ed!
In phys ed 20/30, now that we have completed our volleyball unit we have started into our unit on basketball. We have also begun doing fitness testing, with our first round completed earlier this week.
Enjoy the long weekend!
Parent-Teacher interviews on Thursday!
Elementary students should have taken home information last week about assigned meeting times, while parents of students in grades 7-12 can call the office to schedule meetings for Parent-Teacher Interviews! Our first one is this Thursday, see you then!
Lots of fun activities this week!
On Wednesday, Sept 27 the SRC has planned a pajama day! So wear your comfiest pajamas to school that day! And we have ANOTHER Spirit day on Friday, with the theme being sporting outfits. There will be activities in the gym at noon for students as well! Friday is also our Terry Fox Walk in the afternoon, so students should be prepared to go for a walk outside.
Volleyball Unit Exam
Phys ed 20/30 will have their volleyball unit exam on Thursday, Sept 28. Students should refer to the handout given at the beginning of this unit for information on what to study. If you have lost your handout you can click on Volleyball Handout to view the information.
Good luck!
First Day of School!
I’m looking forward to meeting all of my new students later today! We are starting the morning off with a whole school assembly, and hopefully everyone enjoys the activities that the SRC has organized for us!
