MUSIC MONDAY TODAY – Get out and play and send us your videos!

On Monday, May 4, 2020 hundreds of thousands of students, teachers, parents, musicians, and music lovers from coast to coast to coast will celebrate the importance of music in our lives. We are asking Prairie Spirit School Division band students and alumni to participate in our event!

At 11am (Saskatchewan time) we are asking our musicians to take to decks, yards and/or driveways to perform O Canada as an expression of gratitude for living in this great country during such anxious times.

BONUS

If you can have someone video your performance or you can video it yourself PLEASE post it on social media (at the very least – a photo) with the hashtag #musicmonday #pssdproud

Let’s join together (at home) to celebrate music and the importance of music education in schools. Let’s celebrate what it means to be Canadian.

There is a new website for online band for grades 7-9!  Several people were having trouble accessing the Google site.  With this new website you won’t need a google account or permission to access, and all the lessons can be downloaded as word files.  All the content on the website remains the same.  Here is a link: www.pssd79.wordpress.com

Sing Street: The Musical – “Grounded”
This musical based on the award winning film “Sing Street” was set to debut on Broadway before Covid postponed all performances. Instead the cast have reunited to perform the musical on Facebook in a special presentation!
