Read to Ride/Math to Ride

Read to Ride is a tradition at SCP School, designed to promote a love of literacy and learning! Students earn coupons to enter a draw for one of two mountain bikes sponsored by our SCC! Students can also earn smaller prizes along the way!

Students can enter the contest by choosing to play a board game, bake something, go geocaching, or solve a mystery! Students can also enter by spending time reading, practicing flashcards, or doing a wordsearch! Just so long as you’re reading, writing, doing math…and of course having fun learning!

Don’t forget to fill in your online coupon to win prizes, including our grand prizes of two mountain bikes!

The contest runs from May 1-19, 2023.

The following points will hopefully explain how the program works:

  • starting on Monday, May 1, 2023, the students will keep track of their family literacy and math activities
  • for each 20 minutes of activity, students can submit an online entry (link here), or fill out a paper coupon, which can be found here
  • the coupons will go into an individual draw bins where mini-prizes will be drawn on Fridays throughout the contest
  • each coupon will also earn the student a chance to win the grand prize—one of two mountain bikes, drawn for on Friday, May 19th, 2023
