Good Morning Mustangs!
Taste of VMS- The Grade 8 classes at VMS have been learning about Entrepreneurship and what it takes to create and run a successful business. They have formed their own companies and have been working for several weeks to create names, logos, and products to sell at a school carnival called The Taste of VMS. They have all opted to make businesses that sell different food items. They are responsible for buying all of their own products, getting all of the equipment to school that is needed, making balance sheets to keep track of their money, and creating an appealing booth from which to sell their products. We would like to invite you to join us on the back tarmac of our school on Thursday, June 14 and Friday, June 15 from 12:00 pm- 1:00 pm to walk around and purchase some good food that has been made by our students. If you have ever been to the Taste of Saskatchewan, it will look a lot like that event. We ask that you walk around the school, not through it, in order to help keep our school safe. Each booth with be taking cash, so there will be no pre-ordering or ticket sales. Feel free to bring the entire family for lunch (we recommend bringing around $5-$10) and try several different food items. We are looking forward to seeing you there!
PS: If it rains, we will still be holding this event in the school gym.
Remember to return all of your VMS library books this week.
Congratulations to Liam S. in Grade 8, who won the 2018 NBA Playoff Predictor Challenge. Liam, come see Mr. Gartner at some point today for your prize!
