The SMEA provides its members with several services including access to funding for music education workshops, special projects, professional development, and teacher bursaries. To become a member and learn more about this organization please follow this link:
Below are the policy information for workshops and special projects that can be funded and some samples of completed projects. Please talk to Kendra if you have questions or need assistance pursuing these funding opportunities.
- Workshops ($750 maximum) can be for students or for teachers SMEA workshop
- Special Projects are larger in scale and must first acquire status approval as in this sample STEM SP Status Application SMEA
- Once approved as a special project, the applicant can request up to a maximum of $2000 as in this sample STEM SP Status Application SMEA
- All projects once completed must submit a follow-up report as in this sample Sample Final SP report SMEA
