The name of Warman’s new school was announced today amid a packed house of staff, students, community, and dignitaries.
Warman Community Middle School was selected appropximately 60 suggestions that were received this spring. The names were considered by a subcommittee of community and school division representatives, with the final decision made by the Board of Education. The chosen name is a combination of a few suggestions and reflects the strong sense of community in Warman.

Despite our best efforts, we were unable to schedule a date for the school celebration that would work for the many stakeholders involved in the project. We are still planning to celebrate this exciting school project sometime this fall. We are working with the Ministry of Education to find a date that will suit both the Minister and our MLA for this area. We will reveal the name for the new school at that time.
The building project is progressing despite the poor weather in June. The timeline for the completion of the project continues to be forecast as September 2013.
Have a great summer! Look for additional updates in early September.

Warman students, staff and community members are invited to submit a name that reflects the local community and the nature of this new school and may include rationale for their name submission.
Submission forms will be available at Warman High School, Warman Elementary School, Division Office in Warman, and on the school division website at www.spiritsd.ca. Entries can be delivered to the schools in Warman, to Division Office (121Â Klassen Street East), by fax (931-8221) or email (email@example.com).
A local committee will review the submissions and provide a select number of entries for the Board of Education to consider. The winning submission (which may be a single entry or a composite of entries) will be recognized at the time of the school’s sod-turning ceremony.
