Planning your Program

When choosing home-based education and planning your program you need to consider:

• Your legal rights and responsibilities
• Your philosophical beliefs about education
• Your children’s interests, learning styles, strengths and needs
• Your plan for your children’s home-based education program (beliefs, goals, outcomes, time frame, options, resources , learning activities, evaluation and financial costs

In order to proceed with registering a home-based education program, the following needs to be completed and submitted:

1. Notice of Intent Form
2. Written Educational Plan including Philosophy and Method of Assessment
   1. Educational Plan (Template)
   2. Education Plan Elementary and Middle School – Exemplar
   3. Education Plan High School – Exemplar
