All parents are encouraged to have their children go home for lunch as often as possible.
Students who stay at school at noon eat lunch in their classrooms. Students are to remain seated until they are dismissed by a supervisor to go outside at 12:35. Students are given until 12:35 to finish eating. Supervisors check room to room from 12:15 – 12:35. After that time supervision is done outside.
Students who are too ill to go outdoors should not be at school. If a medical situation exists, the parent is required to write in the planner or provide a note to the teacher indicating the exception to this.
Staying at the school during noon hour is a privilege. If students do not follow school expectations they may have to leave the school during noon hour.
