    Christmas Basket:

The holiday season is quickly approaching and the weather sure feels like winter and now it looks like it too!!!

The SCC is once again doing the holiday gift basket raffle as a fundraiser. We are asking that each family donate 1 or 2 items that total up to $10, to be put into the basket.

Please have your items in to the school by Tuesday December 1st, so that the basket can be made up. We then put the basket on display in businesses around Perdue for a couple weeks, before the draw is made on Dec. 16th at the Christmas concert.

Thank-you very much for your continued support of your School Community Council!!!!

    Christmas Concert ( Dec. 16):

The K-6 proudly presents “ The Grinch “  The students will be receiving their lines soon.  Please help them practice at home as much as you can.  The Outdoor Ed group will be having a Bake Sale and the Playground group will be having their Win a Trip tickets available that night as well!

    Christmas Dinner (Dec. 17):

Our planning for the Christmas Dinner is currently taking place.  The Christmas Dinner will be on Thursday Dec. 17th ( the date has changed from the notice in the last newsletter).  For those of you who are new to our school:  Each year the SCC cooks a Turkey meal for the students and staff of Perdue School to enjoy at lunch time.  The SCC will be calling families and be asking for a specific item to contribute to the meal.  We then call for volunteers to help us cook in the kitchen ( at the Complex).  This is a wonderful time that the children and staff look forward to every year!

If there is anyone who would like to volunteer in helping prepare this meal please contact Tanya Fyson at the school (237-4311)

    Grad:

The grads still have 16kg pails of ICE MELT (environmentally friendly)for sale for $20 a pail.  If you need to clutch down on your slippery sidewalks this is what you need.  To order or for more information contact:  Linda Bell at the school (237-4311)

    ELEMENTRY:

Please DO NOT send sleds to school with your child.  The school has sleds provided for the kids to use at recess.  We have a large head count in our elementary and our boot room is not that big.  We just don’t have enough space to store the sleds that come to school.

Reminder: Subway orders are due on Monday
