Terry Fox Walk

Help to keep Terry’s Dream Alive…..

Warman Community Middle School will be participating in a Terry Fox Walk on Friday, September 17th.  To keep our students safe, classes will go for a 30 minute walk with their cohort at any point during the school day.  This will help to reduce congestion and crowding before, during, and after the walk.

We recognize the importance of funding Cancer Research, as we have all been affected in some way by this disease.  We also follow Terry’s belief that every person can make a difference.

Monies will be collected during the school week of September 13th – September 17th.  Donations can be taken to your child’s homeroom teacher.  Money can also be donated on-line by going to the following link.

We are encouraging students to safely collect money from family and friends.  Door to door collections should not take place due to Health and Safety Guidelines to keep all students safe. On-line donations are encouraged. As a layer of safety and protection to our students and staff, we ask parents and community to not join us on our walk. We appreciate your understanding.

All money collected helps to fund Cancer research as part of the Terry Fox Marathon of Hope.  Each grade will set their own classroom fundraising goal. The top class in each grade will win a Movie/Pop/Bag of Chips afternoon in their homeroom class.

Thanks so much,

WCMS Staff
