Student safety is important for us to maintain at Valley Manor School. Part of this includes keeping accurate medical information for each of our students. Some students may have medical conditions that the school should be aware of. These are pre-existing medical conditions that can range in severity.
Some medical conditions are not life-threatening, but they may cause discomfort or barriers for students. Examples of these may include frequent headaches, lactose intolerance or seasonal allergies.
Some medical conditions have the potential to result in an acute life-threatening incident. Examples of potentially life-threatening conditions include asthma, anaphylaxis, diabetes or seizures.
If your student has medical condition we ask that you contact the school at vms@spiritsd.ca and fill out the applicable form, giving us the pertinent information. It will be recorded in our system and shared with the classroom teacher.
Student medical information is reviewed on an annual basis. We ask that parents and guardians update the school if and when a student’s medical information changes.
Thank you for your assistance with this important student safety matter. If you have any questions, please contact the school.
