Research clearly indicates that regular and punctual attendance is a major contributor to success in school.

If you know before-hand that your child is going to be absent or late, please enter absence in Edsby, or email the office (vms@spiritsd.ca) stating the reason for the absence. If we do not receive notice, you will be emailed about your student’s absence. An answering machine is also available before/after hours so you can leave a message. Please include the child’s first and last name, and reason for the absence in your message.

We realize that students get ill. We support parental decisions to keep children home when they are ill in the best interests of the sick child and others in the school. Homework and/or missed assignments can be organized by contacting the homeroom teacher.
