Shop Talk is all about having conversations (or arguments) about your musical interests with similarly interested people. Below you will find people you can connect with, talk with, learn from, and ask questions.

Munch – 12:00-1:00 pm on Wednesdays
You are invited to join staff and students from the Soul Rock Studio & Diner for Munch (lunch with musicians). Anyone who would like to have lunch together and visit is welcome to sit in and connect. You will get to see fellow students, meet some of our Chef’s Choice musicians, and meet new students from other music classes around the school division. So bring your soup, Kraft Dinner, and carrot sticks, we look forward to having Munch together on Wednesdays.
Wycliffe Gordon – April 27th @ 2:30 pm
Hosted by U of S professor Dean McNeill, students are invited to join other brass players for an online conversation with world-class trombonist, Wycliffe Gordon.
Professor Wycliffe A. Gordon is an American jazz trombonist, arranger, composer, band leader, and music educator at the collegiate-conservatory level. Gordon also sings and plays didgeridoo, trumpet, tuba, and piano. His nickname is “Pinecone”.

Join Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Managing and Artistic Director Wynton Marsalis online twice each week for wide-ranging conversations, uplifting messages, and thoughts on how to stay creative during this unprecedented time.
