A list of selected resources on topics parents often inquire about:
Edsby:
I’ve heard that it is difficult for parents to submit a planned absence that “works” in Edsby. What’s up with that?
When parents create an absence for part of a day, they are required to put the time of day that the student will be missing. There is no option to say “periods 2 and 3”. If the time the parent submits is not exactly the same time that the class is occurring, students will receive an absence for a portion of that class. This is a frustration for divisions around the province and they are lobbying Edsby to make some changes.
What sort of resources are going to be available to parents?
The plan is to have short how-to videos for parents available through the Prairie Spirit homepage that schools can access and share. Topics will include logging in, setting notifications, creating an absence, etc…
