As scooters become more and more popular with our students they have also become a safety issue within the building. The storage of scooters has become unmanageable and a safety issue as far as traffic flow in the halls. Currently students are allowed to bring in their scooters but as of Oct 1 we will be asking students to park (lock) them at our bike racks. We are delaying the change in policy to give students/parents an opportunity to buy a lock if they so choose. Again this is all about the safety of our entire school population and we appreciate your support with this matter.
All grade 6-8 students who need to exchange books can come to the library at recess.
Reminder that there is a grade 7/8 girls volleyball practice at 3:15 today. Girls, please set up the nets today.

Just a reminder that we have our annual Family BBQ tomorrow. We have had an overwhelming response to our pre order requests and will be providing over a thousand burgers for students and family members. Teachers will be in classrooms from 4:45 to 5:30 to meet and greet you and then the gym will open for our supper. We encourage people to bring blankets as we will have limited tables available on the tarmac out back. The School Community Council (SCC) will be providing the meal but will also be accepting donations towards our Playground improvement projects which will include more benches and tables and improved Soccer fields.
The weather is supposed to be agreeable so come meet the staff and be a part of the Valley Manor family.
