One of the key elements of any secondary level course of study is the development of the students ability to guide their own learning. In Geography 20 I am making the following assumptions:

  • you have a basic understanding of how to use technology to find information
  • you have developed the skills necessary to discern between factual information and opinions while researching
  • you have an understanding of the norms of a classroom
  • you respect your peers and value their opinions
  • you believe you have the ability to learn and that this is best accomplished through timely, effective feedback from others
  • you will be an active participant in this course
